More attention than ever will go to those emails because of how hard she has fought to keep them secret. How many email accounts does one need to be the governor of Alaska? Were Todd Palin and her parents copied on every email?

Allen - This is different from the birther movement because Obama's records HAVE been released and verified as legit by the governor of Hawaii (who happens to be a Republican). These emails are a matter of public record, yet they aren't public. What does Mrs. Palin have to hide?

I live in Alaska and I did not vote for Palin. I also do not think she has done anything wrong. While she was in office she did many good things for the people of Alaska. Let me stop anyone before the comment about his certificate of live birth - that is NOT a birth certificate and an infant born in another country can be whisked away to another country immediately after birth to establish a certificate of live birth. I was simply pointing out that no matter what evidence is shown, birthers will never believe that Obama is a natural born citizen. As for Palin and the rest of the talking heads you mentioned, I will let you in on a secret. The reason the left, and moderates, have "targeted them for character assassination" is not solely based on their policies. And every person you mentioned is a complete and total hypocrite, in every aspect of the word.

Personally, I am a moderate. I agree with policies from both sides. But I just can not stand a hypocrite. Actually it is a certificate of live birth, basically verifying he was born alive, to whom and where, it is missing some info that the birth certificate has, such as time, and who delivered the baby. The birth certificate is also not a subject of public record, therefor, no you cannot request the department of vital records for a copy of the birth certificate. As to Obama giving permission to the state to do so, why should he, the certificate of live birth is an offical document that is drawn up using information off of the birth certificate, and to create an fake certificate for legal purpose is an act of fraud, and this administration is not going to be in office forever, someone would get caught, and thus there is an inclination to believe that the certificate of live birth is legitimate, and valid.

As someone who works in state government, I am constantly aware that every e-mail I write at work and every letter I draft is subject to public records requests. We get them constantly, and fill the requests in a timely manner. I respect that the people have a right to know what the government is doing.

Not to mention, these requests were made in 2008, in anticipation of the upcoming election (you know, when Palin was still relevent as a VP candidate.) It's just taken almost 3 years to get the response.

I'm putting my money on Willow. She will be the next Palin girl hitting the talk shows at 16-17 with a baby on her lap.
