The last of the emails that the state of Alaska could recover from Sarah Palin's brief term as governor were released on Thursday.
Editor's note: Here's a link to msnbc.com's previous coverage of a release of Sarah Palin's public records, and our database where you can read those public documents. The Associated Press was apparently the only news organization to be notified by the state that new records were available. Here is the AP's report. Others that had requested them said they had not been informed of the release. They include Mother Jones magazine (which blogged about the odd release), CNN, The Washington Post, ABC News, and the Republican political activist Andrée McLeod, who said Thursday, "The culture of corruption continues unabated."

JUNEAU, Alaska—In the final months before she resigned as Alaska's governor, Sarah Palin displayed growing frustration over deteriorating relationships with state lawmakers and their perceived efforts to "lame duck" her administration, along with outrage over ethics complaints that she felt frivolously targeted her and prompted her to write: "I can't take it anymore."
The details are included in more than 17,000 records released Thursday by state officials -- nearly 3 1/2 years after citizens and news organizations, including The Associated Press, first requested Palin's emails.
By the spring of 2009, the emails show, Palin was regularly butting heads with lawmakers of both parties over her absences from the Capitol and over her picks for vacancies in the state Senate and her own cabinet. The emails she sent to staff illustrate Palin's growing suspicion that those legislators were seeking to undermine her administration by harping on how often she was away from Juneau, the state capitol.
She asked her aides to tally how many days she was out of Alaska in 2008. The staff came up with 94 days, but 10 less if you count travel days when she was in the state part of the day, The absences included all of October and most of September while she was on the campaign trail as the GOP vice presidential candidate.
"It's unacceptable, and there must be push back on their attempts to lame duck this administration," Palin wrote to her top aides on April 9. "That's only going to get worse as they try to pull more bs and capitalize on me being out of the capitol building for 36 hours," she wrote aides.
Palin also asked her aides to see if they could hold certain legislators' "feet to the fire" and hold votes on her nominees. She wrote words of encouragement to Wayne Anthony Ross, her nominee for attorney general, telling him to "stay strong."
"Those who want to turn this into a kangaroo court will soon see you confirmed as Alaska's AG," Palin wrote.
Ross was not confirmed, the first ever cabinet level candidate rejected by the Alaska Legislature. Palin traveled to an anti-abortion rally in Indiana the day he was defeated.
Tim Crawford, treasurer of Sarah Palin's political action committee, encouraged everyone to read the emails. "They show a governor hard at work for her state," he said.
The emails are the last of her emails from her time as governor, according to Alaska state officials. Citizens and news organizations, including the AP, first requested Palin's emails in September 2008, as part of her vetting as the Republican vice presidential nominee. The state released a batch of the emails last June, a lag of nearly three years that was attributed to the sheer volume of the records and the flood of requests stemming from Palin's tenure.
The 24,199 pages of emails that were released last year left off in September 2008. When it became clear that the June release would not include all the emails from Palin's tenure last June, requests were then made for the remaining emails. Thursday's release includes 17,736 records, or 34,820 pages, generally spanning from October 2008 until Palin's resignation, in July 2009. Of those, 13,791 records were released without redactions, according to the governor's office. Another 965 documents were withheld.
Several media organizations, including msnbc.com, said they were not informed of Thursday's release.
Sharon Leighow, a spokeswoman for the current governor, Sean Parnell, said she was looking into why msnbc.com was not on the list.
Palin's frustration over a series of ethics complaints filed against her, one of the issues she cited when stepping down, emerges in a series of e-mails on March 24, 2009.
"These are the things that waste my time and money, and the state's time and money," she wrote to then-Lt. Gov. Parnell.
In an April 2009 email, she commiserated over a story indicating another ethics complaint was to be filed: "Unflippinbelievable... I'm sending this because you can relate to the bullcrap continuation of the hell these people put the family through," she wrote to Ivy Frye, an aide during the first part of her term, and to Frank Bailey.
Later that day, in an email to her husband and two top aides, on the issue, she said: "I can't take it anymore."
The first batch of emails released last June, before she announced she would not run for president, showed that Palin was angling for the vice presidential slot months before John McCain picked her to be his running mate. Those records produced no bombshells, while painting a picture of an image-conscious, driven leader, struggling with the gossip about her family and marriage, involved in the day-to-day duties of running the state and keeping tabs on the signature issues of her administration.

Where IS Mrs. Palin, by the way?
Or, for that matter, Karl Rove, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney?
Has the GOP locked them all in Cheney's "secret location" until after the election, hoping we'd forget they exist?
Real, we couldn't be so lucky to have the GOP wackjobs locked up in some secret location. We have not seen the last of Mrs. Palin, I guarantee you that. She likes to lob insults and complaints from afar way too much to just disappear.
Besides, I hope others realize the GOP is repeating Bush's plan for elections: put controversial measures on the ballet during a Presidential election cycle to get the extreme vote out in droves. Chris Christie already alluded to the Bush plan: put gay marriage on the ballet in November. Other states are planning the same strategy.
Palin will be at the forefront of this assault on our rights, stirring up the uninformed masses....
Uninformed masses. Oh you must be talking about the sheeple. They are many and on both sides. by the way Palin was on Fox twice this week. I take it when you say that "Palin will be at the forefront of this assault on our rights" you are Gay? Hmmmm....I have no problem with anyone being Gay but I do have a problem with them getting married and I also have a problem with them adopting children. Gays want to be accepted so bad by the general population but no matter how many states they get to make it legal for them to marry and have the benefits of a married couple they will never be accepted as "normal" by the majority of people.
Scot-4891724, let me ask you why you have an issue with gay marriage? I am asking for an intelligent, thoughtful response please, not the normal rantings right wingers usually give about God and morals and all the usual smoke screens that are used for people to feel better about putting something down that they are afraid of. Allow me to give my thoughts as a straight male. I cannot for the life of me understand why ANYONE would have a problem with 2 people who love each other and want to share the good times and not so good times of their lives with someone else regardless of the gender. I also cannot grasp how it is that anyone else would think for one second it is their business to pass judgement on ANYONES life. I also still cannot grasp how the government has any right or say in any of this. Marriage is a religious institution that the government should have no involvement in if we actually practiced what is in the constitution. Finally the thing that I find most troublesome is that people like you Scot speak out of both sides of your mouth. You say you have no issue with gay people but in the same breath you say they should not have a right to live their lives in a way that makes them happy and be able to have the same kind of love and closeness I would imagine you have. Scot perhaps you work for the government because you clearly believe, like most of the people in Congress and politics in general, that you should be entitled to all that makes you happy and makes your life better, but other people should not have those same opportunities because they are not as good as you. Frankly you should be ashamed of yourself for being so selfish, so self absorbed and so uncaring as a human being. If your retort has anything to do with religion please spare me, that is a tired and worn cloak that people who have no real answers use to justify their lack of understanding and more times than not, in fact almost always the people who site religion only use religion when they need to make a point but the rest of their lives are usually so devoid of any real religious actions and almost NEVER do those folks actually live a religious life in any way. Please help me understand why you fear it so. I have a feeling you fear it so because you really have homosexual tendencies and what to shout them away because it frightens you.
Almost 100,000 pages, and not one inkling of fraud, cronyism, orillegal activity. Hundreds of thousands of state money wasted by the democrats who were terrified of her. Why? I guess most people don't like women who have opinions. I find most people rail against Palin because she stands for taking responsibility for your own actions. Not societies fault. And just once, I would like to see someone on povich state " my mom and dad were great, my brothers and sisters were great, I'm just an a&%#$*e."
Please God, we will trade you Obama and Romney if you will convince Hillary to run.
Define normal.
Is this picture recent?
She looks rode hard and put away wet.
Palin went to war with the oil companies, and they...through their Republican and Democratic surrogates... went to war with her (yes viners the oil companies OWN BOTH the Republicans AND the Democrats (why do you think gas prices continually go up).
She cancelled leases that had not been acted on, raised taxes on the oil companies using it to give rebates to Alaskan citizens, and then threatened to cut them out of a newly proposed pipeline, obviously she had to go...and so the oil companies...aided abetted by the progressives...went to work!
Look at the last paragraph of the article;
Thank you MSN for setting this part of her record straight. Now how about going after the current administration for their NOT going after a windfall profits tax on the oil companies and giving US a tax rebate!
THE CHANGE IN THE PRICE OF GAS IS NOT WHAT I HAD HOPED FOR, AND I CAN'T TAKE THAT ANY MORE!
Had to be the coldest day in Alaska when they voted for Palin to be govenor..not many showed up to vote!
And people thought they wanted her as president? After 6 months of the other side slamming her, she would have run hysterically from the White House. Not a big player in politics.
And Kenn, all we have to do to bring gas down some is to lift the sanctions on Iran. That what you want? I'll pay the higher prices, like a real patriot, and not complain.
Of course not. When you have several years to sanitize everything, I would hope they got all the "bad" stuff removed.
Makes you wonder why it took twice as long as she was actually in office to release all the emails though.
I am sure her skeletons could fill a cemetary.
@Kenn: If you wanted a higher profit tax on the oil companies then you elected the wrong CONGRESS for the job! The President and his administration pushed hard to raise taxes on the oil companies and their windfall profits and BOehNER and his cronies in the House put it down. Please don't blame this President for the failures of the WORST CONGRESS EVER.
Leave Sarah Palin alone!
How would you like it if all of your personal and work emails were made public for everybody to see?
Why are they doing this to her? You see people, when someone of values like her enters into your consciousness, and you know she is right ---- the weakness comes through in you when you start to attack her.
right ..they run this place into the ground and disappear with their lobbyist riches. f-kn a-holes...wh-oww hungry mongoose.. hey da her emails are public record because she was an elected official. hello. god these fooled "conservatives" are dumb.
Hungry, what values. No Christian values, no morals or ethics. Conceiving children out od wedlock, adultry, lying, spreading hate. Again, where are the values.
yeah those guys..where are they. "conservatives" think old Jimmy Carter was the worst ever...but I still see him. hmm...where ? Oh yeah habitat , that's right he still helps people ,every day. bush cheney rumsfield ...where are they? Why are "conservatives" the least conservative? oh yeah one more thing, didn't her people try to charge some ungodly amount of money to release these PUBLIC RECORDS? freakin crooks.
Palin................Suddenly my mind went blank at the sound of her name, OMG! maybe her mental illness is contagious.
I think that the libs have set the standard. The idea is that the repubs should do what the libs do, especially what they did to Palin in Alaska. What am I talking about? Well, the libs filed baseless charge after baseless charge against her to the point that she had to spend over $500,000 of her personal money, which she didn't have to defend herself. So, using the Christian theology of doing unto others as you would have others do unto you, and assume they do the same, then the repubs should just start charging every lib with indiscretions, ethics violations and crimes then can think of. It doesn't make any difference if there is any basis for the claim. The point is that you can have the state officials prosecute the charges and force the individual to use their own money to defend them. I realize that repubs want to take the high road and believe that it is low life to take such course of action, but the libs have made it clear that the object is to WIN the game, regardless of how you play it. And, one has to admit that there is a bit of truth to that. It does absolutely no good for conservatives to take the high road and play by the "rules" if they are the only ones playing by the rules, and as a result, they lose. I want my government to follow the Constitution and to respect the rights of individuals. I'm at the point that I don't care how that comes to pass. I'd rather be ruthless in the pursuit of freedom than be magnanimous in the face of tyranny. I'd rather have the right to fail than the guarantee that I will be fed bread and water. "Don't Tread On Me" and "Live Free or Die" are not merely slogans, they are what makes America great! To bad the libs have taken over the educational system and don't teach about the real America to kids.
As usual witchy, you proved you've exercised that right yet once again.
BTW...Palin filed one of those "baseless charges" ethics complaints against herself...something to do with her firing of the state Public Safety Commissioner, I believe.
Perhaps you weren't aware of that...or chose to ignore it. No matter, it's history...the non-revisionable kind.

http://kavips.wordpress.com/2008/09/04/sarah-palin-files-ethics-charges-against-herself/
If your version of a "real America" has Palin in any significant elected/appointed position in the Federal government, then it certainly isn't the "libs" who have a problem with education.
yeah that is so much different then what they did to Clinton or what they are doing to Obama & the Christians control education that's why American Kids are failing why learn scientific theory it's much more rational to make up a supernatural explanation for it - Texas buys the most text books so what Texas wants in them is what the rest of us get - health care & education is a right not a choice but people are only worried about their own interest's, teach the real ? what is real ? what is the truth ? we all know it - the right to fail ? well with that mind set you have already failed ! you have the right to succeed ! if we were all at the same starting line that would be different & yeah win the game by all means that mentality has brought this country to where it is now & is a strategy mostly played by your Conservative republicans who serve the rich oh excuse me job creators who put their money in off shore accounts & create jobs when they take over small companies & fire all the employees ! they have so much unemployment paper work to fill out I'm sure they have to hire someone at the unemployment office just to keep up, voodoo economics never worked because the rich don't share so nothing trickles down
eyes: still closed. As you say, history is history. Glad you didn't refute what I said. Well, you couldn't and keep a straight face. That's one thing that is dependable. Thanks for proving me right once again. Not sure what your point was about her filing a claim against herself was all about. But, it is an admission that the deck was stacked against her. So, you blame her for trying to even the playing field? I suppose you think it is improper to try to use the rules to fight back, but it is ok to use the rules to drive someone into poverty. It's a lousy system that allows people to continue to make false claims without any repercussions all the while knowing that the real purpose is that the person who has to defend the baseless charge has to pay for their defense out of their own pocket. In the world of politics no less.
re-evolution: It appears that you have failed to evolve (or learn). Just what do you think the "rich" do with their money? Do you seriously believe that they just walk around with wads of money in their pockets? I think that role goes to drug dealers. But, what do the rich do? It doesn't "trickle down?" So, it is sad that you have not learned about the story of how the free market works. Have you ever seen the picture of a young looking hippie bunch in a garage who tried to start a business. Now, in your world, if it was you, I'm sure you would have started the business with the idea that you could work hard and have your earnings capped at say, $50,000.00 and any excess that you were fortunate enough to steal from people would go to the government to give to people who didn't work as hard as you, or didn't put their own money into whatever they wanted to do with the risk of losing it all. If you have half a brain, you'd already know who I'm talking about. Well, Billy boy put his own money into his venture and faced a lot of ridicule and was told that there was no way he could succeed. Please tell me at what point he became evil. I'd love to know. We do know that if the socialists had actually set the rules back then, then there would be no way he would have succeeded. Of course, that is the case with all successful businesses. Anyway. if that trickle down doesn't work, then how come Bill Gates was able to turn a garage venture into the one of the largest corporations in the world? Oh, and try telling all the people that he's hired over the years that they were damn fools for letting a capitalist exploit them. The fact is that he got very rich. But, the fact is also that a heck of a lot of other people also got rich. That's something that government and socialism can never accomplish. The pie isn't limited. And the amazing thing, at least to libs, is that he never stole a dime from anyone. He never had to order anyone to give him money. What he did do was produce something that people wanted to buy. So, in that respect, all those who purchased Microsoft products voluntarily contributed to his wealth. Of course, since those people didn't have a gun to their heads, they also felt that they got their money's worth. If it hadn't been that way, then Microsoft would have been out of business a long time ago. So, using lib lingo, he did redistribute his wealth. He redistributed to those who were willing to work for it and earned it. Do you really think that it is just a matter of taking it from him and giving it to others who didn't earn it and we'd have the same amount of prosperity in this country? Hardly!
And the fascinating thing is that Gates built his wealth without the government dictating people to buy his products or forcing the taxpayers to pay for consumers to purchase it. Why do you think all this alternative energy bs has been such an abysmal failure? The push for so-called "green" energy hasn't produced diddly squat. It hasn't made any difference how much money politicians have forced the taxpayers to ante up. The fact is that if a product won't stand on its own, it is worthless. Why do you think Al Gore is pushing for all the government regulations? It's not to have a "clean" environment. It's because he has invested a substantial amount of money in companies that won't succeed unless he can get the government to force people to pay for what they are selling.
Oh well, it does get old trying to explain economics and politics to people who don't want to know because it doesn't fit in with the way they wish reality were rather than the way it is.
Eyes Wide Open,
What happened to all those "ethics charges"? Why is it that nothing has stuck? Why is it that after years and years of exhaustive research no one has found ANYTHING illegal or unethical enough to rise to anything higher than a complaint? And as soon as reasonable people investigate these "charges" they are either dismissed or withdrawn.
There has been a concerted effort to take her down - through bogus ethics complaints, assaults on her family and the Blood Libel of the Giffords shooting. She may have aided her foes at some level by being out there so much but I have never seen so much vitriol leveled at someone. The absolute white hot hatred you people have for her is astounding.
witchrunner
I find it interesting where you say "if a product won't stand on its own, it is worthless" in reference to clean energy. Yet the big oil company's still get subsides and special tax brakes, which allows them to make huge profits off the tax payers backs. So how does that fit into your Conservative economic and political picture?Suggest you contact me and I will gladly give you a lesson in reality!?
You know witchy, you use a lot of words, but you rarely say anything with them. Diversion and distraction aren't really your strong suits.
So you consider that with her filing a complaint against herself, she was somehow "leveling" the playing field? Seriously? Oh well...I notice that you (somehow) neglected to mention that. But I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that you even knew of it...so many Palin supporters religiously just seem to (want to) ignore that fact. If she didn't think there might be a problem with that aspect of her governorship, then why would she do such a thing? Really...she'll never have a reputation as the sharpest crayon in the box, but she must have thought there was a potential problem about how she handled that particular circumstance.
I would suggest that, before you totally immerse yourself with her supposed innocence of all charges, you should take some time and review who was on the panel that reviewed and passed judgement on the complaints and further, who it was that appointed them that panel to begin with. And you consider this a "level" playing field?
You also don't seem to be aware of the fact that some of those ethics charges were filed by members of the AK Republican party. Not aware of that either? Tsk, tsk, tsk...
I didn't prove you right about anything, either now or before...you can't even do that for yourself.
I just re-read your observations about "repubs taking the high road" and all. That has to be, without a doubt, the funniest diatribe I've heard all week...truthfully, it's a photo finish between you and some of the responses in the last GOP debate.
Hard to decide "witch" of you won...
Q22...some of the above might help answering the questions you asked. And it's not hatred, it's reality.
Exxon/Mobil pays a tax rate of around 32%. What ever tax breaks they are getting doesn't seem to be helping them much.
Q22- You're kidding right? Have you checked into Exxon Mobile's quarterly and yearly profit statements. No, I didn't think so...
As far as The Quitter is concerned, I think her problem is that the more Americans listened to her ignorant claptrap the more they responded, "I can't take it anymore".
I don't believe any democrats have ever been afraid of Sarah. We're not afraid of Ricky either. More like we're amazed at their ignorance and confident that they will never be elected president.
@Witchrunner: The Repubs can't point fingers at the Dems and accuse them of anything, because those Repub fingers are so dirty with corruption. Can anyone say Koch Brothers?
@ Re-"evolution" were do you get Health Care and Education is a right? I have never seen in the Constitution that Health Care or Education is a right, it is a choice we all must make and not depend on the Government for it.
@ HankE can you say George Soros! at least the Kock brothers are Americans
Santorum and Palin are the two greatest things that ever happened to the Democrats! Maybe frothy can pick palin or bachman as VP running mate and the whole election can be one big stand up routine.
Dan, in regards to the crotch bros being American, I think that makes it worse. I don't expect someone from another country to give a damn about American society but, as American citizens, they are traitors and very much a domestic threat!
Oh, please, oh, please... Damn! I thought with that title, it was a suicide note.
Please, Sarah. Get in the race! These four last contenders are becoming so boring! That last debate was like watching paint dry. We need some good ol' mama bear with lipstick, or whatever your latest crazy metaphor is.
Hell, you could run as the Grinch's VP. Just dust off your old "running for VP with some old out of touch dude" clothes and go for it!
q22: You know the dems, the Alinsky way is to never let facts get in the way of a dirty yarn, or something like that. So, you noticed that eyes never addressed the minor detail that you pointed out that the charges didn't stick. Also didn't address the fact that she had to pay all that money out of her pocket to defend herself while those hurling the muck got to do so on the taxpayer's dime (probably millions of them in this case). You have to admit though, at least they are consistent. It makes no difference to them that the charges didn't stick, it's just the fact that they were made. This is the same with their legislation. The New Deal, The Great Society, The War on Poverty....etc.... Obamacare... Stiimulus....the fact that results of all that stuff was miserable failure doesn't matter to them. All that matters is that they said they did it with good intentions.
Well, personally, I would like to know whats in the roughly 1,000 pages that the state won't release. Obviously thats where the real stories are.
RealAmericansFirst "Where IS Mrs. Palin, by the way? Or, for that matter, Karl Rove, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney?"
Most of them have been very public over the last few years - maybe it's YOU that have been 'locked in a secret location'.
The only exception is Bush, who had the class not to respond to Obama's constant 'Bush Bashing'. I suspect Obama will be like Jimmy Carter when he gets booted - trying to defend their dismal record.
Old Man,
Most people don't like Pail ,myself included, because she is an opinionated marginally literate boor. She uses her family as political props while questioning the moral decisions of others. She bashes us with her fundamentalist beliefs but is offended if anyone asks about them, she never intelligeably answers a question even in softball interviews like Katie Courics unlike every other political figure she never engages in political forums or interviews where actual questions may be asked. She has no actual idea as to how the three parts of government are supposed to work and appears never to have read the US Constitution because she sure as hell doesn't know what's in it. These are not about personality or presentation these are issues about knowledge and ability.
I wanted to see what it was all about and attended two Palin rallies in Reading and Johnstown Pa in 2008 As I have attended rallies from Humbert Humphrey through Wallace, Reagan, McCain and Obama and I have never seen anything like the visceral hate oozing from the crowd which came to see her do her thing. They were overtly racist and vile and made George Wallaces campaigning look like an ACLU gathering. I think you give her detractors to little respect and her far too much.

Thoughts on Sarah Palin; Where the f... is Kanye when you need him?
Roy Wilson,
Carter waited 20yrs to defend his record and his defense has a fair degree of validity. It would have been a good thing to do before canonizing Reagan to see what a disaster he wrought. By the way in 3 years the 1st meaningful healthcare reform, more jobs created than in Bushes 8 years, saved and fostered the American auto manufacturing, American manufacturing is experiencing growth for the 1st time in 30 years, the Dow cracked 13,000. Out of Iraq on the way out of Afghanistan, Bin Laden dead, Awalaki dead, Al Rahman dead, Meshud dead, Atef Dead, Najdi dead. It is now possible to travel the world and meet people who are beginning to have belief in America again after eight embarrasing years of having t account for every Bush /Cheyney idiocy. The state that Bush and the GOP left this nation in at home and abroad was arguably the worst position the US has been ever including the Great Depression. Fighting an obstructive GOP House and getting anthing accomplished in and of itselfis a remarkable accomplishment.

mpp: I'm confused by your post #1.4. You ask for an intelligent, thoughtful response to the issue of gay marriage, yet don't want the "normal rantings that rightwingers give about God, morals", ..etc. Yet later in that same paragraph you state that
If it is a religious institution (as I believe it is), shouldn't it be an issue that is governed by the principles of religion? I can't speak for all religions, but I am unaware of any that condone and accept gay relationships, let alone marriage.
I'm not sure where the constitution says gay marriage is OK, but regardless, why should the constitution have the power to supercede or amend God's laws?
Right. Diversion and distraction is the strong suit and specialty of the leftists. There is no doubt whatsoever.
The leftists have fully embraced the Alinsky model of agitation, subversion, manipulation of public information and brainwashing youth in schools. In the realm of manipulation, deception and distraction, the left is far more skilled and accomplished than conservatives. While conservatives look ahead to the next election cycle and hope to protect the traditional America they love, the left is looking ahead to the next 50-100 years, plotting, planning and laying the metaphorical mines to destroy the same traditional America in order to replace it with something else, influenced heavily by internationalist Marxism.
The left have become masters of public influence, through their ruthless and tireless infiltration of government agencies, the news and entertainment media and the education system. They mock and insult everything that represents traditional American values, family structure, free-market economic principles, the desire for limited government, personal responsibility and freedom of association, and even the heritage of the white European majority.
Through this matrix of influence, they have permanently and irreversibly altered our national demographics by pushing and passing the Immigration And Nationalization Act of 1965, which curbed the numbers of immigrants from Europe, and redirected the bulk of newcomers from the third world. Decades later, these minorities are now rapidly becoming majorities with no love or concern for the American ways of "old". This makes the takeover of a country much easier. Divide and conquer.
Finally, and perhaps the smartest gimmick of all is the left's portrayal of their destructive policies as promoting "compassion" and "equality". Reinforced by the (largely leftist) media and education system, the people become convinced that supporting leftist policies makes them morally superior and therefore the owners of all things compassionate. This gives them free license to express hatred, contemptand hostility to opposing viewpoints as those represent "intolerance" and "antiquated views".
If we don't get this insidious influence under control veruy soon, it WILL be our undoing.
Real American First:
Palin has been back in the state raising her kids, without an entourage. Just saw her a couple of weeks ago at my sons basketball game at a local sports complex. She was there with her daughter, husband and noone else. There is such a misconception with regards to what she is doing/does thanks to media outlets with nothing better to do than bash on her and her family. I am not a Palinite but it is funny when people say she is all about money and power and hates Alaska especially when there are real important issues affecting us. But when you watch MSNBC all they seem to want to report on are the GOP and contraception.
@HadEnough-3538363 - if you truly don't understand why the Constitution has the power to "supercede or amend" God's laws you clearly missed high school civics. Oh, and try the 14th Amendment. Straying even further off topic, marriage is a legal "institution". The fact that there's also a religious one by the same name is simply not relevant to the legality of SSM. Is it really that difficult to understand that there may be two different people both named Debbie?
Bluelake,
OK. I researched and found out the tax rate they paid. You disagree. What, then tax rate DID they pay?
BTW, they only have to pay taxes on the profits made in the US - not their worldwide profits which many on the left erroneously contend. They may make a worldwide profit of $200b but the profit from operations in the US may only be $20b.
Q22...The same type of vitriolic is constantly being thrown at Obama by the Republicans and has been since his election. But I guess you tend to overlook or forgive that. Don't care for it much when a page of your own playbook is thrown back at you, do you?
Witchy...if you want to compare "dirty yarns", then why don't we trot all the laundry that the Republican contenders for the nomination have been spitting out since the very first debate? Mis-statements galore, half-truths and innuendos...and every single one of them, both still in and out of the race, have let loose with some pretty astounding falsehoods. But you won't address that factoid, will you?
Regarding the charges that "didn't stick": when YOU have a panel that YOU appointed hearing ethics charges against YOU, it isn't a big step, at least for most people, to connect the dots and see what decisions will be made.
I notice you made no reference to the composition of said panel, or the fact that some of those charges were filed by members of her own party. A bit too hot for you in that kitchen isn't it? Now, if they (the R's) are in such agreement as to Palin's record as governor, WHY would they do that to one of their own?
My parents and siblings are life-long R's to the core. But when McCain picked Palin as his running mate, my parents chose to exercise their right NOT to vote...at all. I wouldn't have expected them to vote for Obama, but they were so astounded and sickened that he'd pick somebody that lacking in basic fundamental political and world knowledge to potentially be the VP.
She's probably sitting back, hoping for that brokered convention so she can try and ride in on her white horse billing herself as the "savior" for the Republican party. What she doesn't seem to realize is that she was pretty irrelevant then, and even more so now.
First Christine O'Donnell and now Palin...you seem to make a habit of backing losers, don't you?
But please do carry on...
What??? The sanctions on Iran is raising gas prices??? In 2010 the US imported 624.6 million barrels of oil from the Persian Gulf. 1.6 million of those was from Iran, that is 0.26% of the Persian Gulf oil and 0.038% of the oil imports of the US.
If gas went from 3.35 to 3.50, that is a 4.47% increase in price. Losing 0.038% of supply causing a 1000% impact doesn't compute.
Lots of comments restored, not the gay marriage derail - 1.40 deleted, brief revival of it - or 'you people' generalizing.
People are always going to criticize a sitting President (Obama has gotten way less heat than Bush did) but Palin isn't even running for office. She was the VP selection on the losing McCain ticket and a former Governor of Alaska. She has done nothing illegal or unethical in the years since (unlike another VP candidate on a losing ticket from a few years back [wink, wink]) but the obsessive hatred continues. You guys are STILL trying to find some dirt on her that doesn't seem to exist. It's weird. You seem to invest so much emotion on someone who merely expresses her opinion once and a while but has no political power whatsoever.
Jim Hayes- Obama is not the one to pull the trigger on Osama, nor are the troops out of Iraq. My friend is heading over there for a year long tour, so i'd like to see your evidence on that. Unless all you have for me is " because Obama said so, so it must be true". Also we aren't out of afghanistan either. I will agree that he did a good job bailing out GM. They are doing good and are back on track, but what about his bank bailouts? We have not seen a cent back from that failure nor do i suspect we will. And its pretty easy to say that he has created all these jobs that are boosting the economy, but what branches of labor are actually seeing this significant amount of growth that we are hearing all about. Im not republican or democrat, i have noticed nothing but mud-slinging and yellow journalism from both sides so i try to keep a neutral view but i can not sit here and say Obama is better than Bush. National Debt in year 2000: 5,674,178,209,886.86 so much for the clinton surplus that Bush recieved huh. National Debt in year 2008: 10,024,724,896,912.49 keep in mind that this is 8 years later and it went up about 4.4 trillion, this is what Obama had to start out with. National Debt year 2011: $14,025,215,218,708.52 after just 3 years Obama reached 4 trillion in spending. Any of the information that i just brought out to show is attainable on the US treasury website.
@Yeah & the Cavalier: Yes...that's the point I was making...what is the reason for the hugh spike in gas prices...if there is a supply shortage where are the gas lines...there is NO shortage...prices are being run up in large part by speculation in the oil commodities market...by whom...hedge funds, pension funds and even the Harvard endowment fund!
This increase in gas prices is killing low income Americans while it enriches who...yeah the oil companies for sure but also...THE SPECULATORS! George Soros, (a name we all know) became a billionaire by smart speculation in the currency and commodity futures markets...and just because he throws a few dollars to liberal causes should not exempt him from the same scorn we heep on the oil companies (note: He is just one big hedge fund manager, they are all involved).
Yeah liberals detest Sarah Palin (with good reason) for her social positions...but as Governor of Alaska she DID SOMETHING about the greedy oil companies...she taxed them and used the money to give Alaskans a big rebate! And just what other Governor Republican or Democrat has done that...no one...and why is that...because they OWN both parties!
Wake up viners...big oil AND oil speculators...many of whom are supposedly our friends...Unions (through their pension funds) and even Harvard (through the Harvard endowment fund which is the largest in the Nation) are speculating in the oil commodities markets and driving up the price on all of us!
Even the Los Angeles Times seems to be in on it (read their editorial titled "What to do about $4 Gas" February 23rd). What do they suggest we do, I quote "...adapt or go broke"...really...that's the best they can come up with...why not demand and end to speculation in the oil market...why not a special tax on oil speculation profits...
....or Times why not ask Sarah Palin what she would do!
True about a sitting president, but the Republicans have turned it into a pseudo art form with their rhetoric against Obama in the last 3 years. Just to-o-o many false stories about him have been promulgated by right-wing zealots who accuse him of just about everything they don't like in this world. Obama hasn't done everything right...no president can, but the level of hatred thrown at him is astounding. And I disagree with your comment about Bush...his party gave him a free pass and covered his tail on many things at the time. How interesting to see that they've now turned against him in ever-increasing numbers.
But she was and she did and it's her behavior and demeanor at that time that's polarized feelings about her...even McCain's people say she wasn't ready or willing to assimilate the information she needed for them to have a chance to win. She thought she knew better and went "rogue". And that tactic turned out really well for the Dems. The Republican debacle isn't over yet. The party, as a viable whole, can't seem to get behind any one of the current crop but Sarah likely sees herself as a possible "king (queen) maker", much like Trump thinks he is. Should she decide to toss her ? into the ring, the fur will really be flying, much like it is now between the four remaining wanna-be's.
For some on the left, your statement actually holds some water, I agree. But what you seem to forget is that anyone - left, right, or center, can dislike her not for what "doesn't seem to exist", but rather, for that which she's shown herself to be and the comments she has made in the past. She's like a high-wire act without a net...and she tends to stumble.
I somewhat hold out hope that the R's will go to a brokered convention. I think then, you'll see the real fun begin.
Whenever I see Fox pander to her and she speaks on whatever topic they ask her or whichever one she wants to speak to, it's always worth a myriad of chuckles...such as her take on a brokered convention and "then we'd have to see who'd be willing to offer themselves up for the country...". What? Are we talking about a virgin sacrifice to the volcano gods here?
In the end, I still question, in light of what we've witnessed of those still in, those who think they might possibly be able to jump in late, and also those that have dropped out of the running for the GOP nomination...is this REALLY the best the GOP can put forth?
If you think they are, then you have touched upon the source of a major GOP problem.
eyes: take notice of the criticism of Obama. Have you noticed that there is a common theme? It's really very simple. Almost all criticism of Obama is based on his policies. That's completely the opposite of the criticisms of W. Obama is an out and out socialist. He has, in his words, set out to "transform" America. He has yet to propose anything that will stimulate the economy. He has constantly spoken against freedom, Capitalism and and what has made America great. Everything he says reeks of Karl Marx. If he doesn't want us to be like the failed Soviet Union, then one would never know by the way he talks and what he proposes. It really is that simple. His writings, ie: his books, speak of trying to destroy what made America great. He and his cronies have increased the federal deficit from about 9 trillion dollars when he took office to about 17 trillion by the time he is finished with his first term. All that "stimulus' created no jobs. One would think that spending more than the annual budget of the military or more than was spent in 10 years of the Iraq war, that maybe someone would be employed and the unemployment rate would be down around 3 %. But, that hasn't happened. Heck, his administration still can't speak in real terms. Ever since he took office they have espoused jobs created "or saved." The fact is that everything is hidden behind the "or saved." Why? Because there is, and never has been any such statistic. It's all made up and bogus.
The only way one, who understands economics and statistics and America, can look at Obama understand why he thinks he is succeeding is if they understand that Obama's real purpose is to destroy America. Then all his claims and proposals make sense. Of course, if one in a socialist, then they would refute this claim and say that it is obvious that he is succeeding.
Nice talking points witchy, but you are in denial or have your blinders on in so many areas that it's hard to know where to begin, and as usual, all you offer are opinions...nothing backed up by any factual source(s). Every point you try to make has been spoken before by the likes of the current GOP crop of contenders, Bachmann, Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh, etc. and the only thing they all have in common is they can't back up their play with bona-fide facts. But just for yuks, do you have any reputable sources for your claim that the debt will reach $17T by next year...an increase of about $8T according to you? Cold hard numbers that can be proven will suffice. Actually, when W was elected, the national debt was about $5.278T and $10,626,877,048,913.08 when he left. and it now stands at roughly $15T, but I'll assume you just rounded down to that $9T starting point you noted just to get some more traction with your numbers. Easily refuted, but hey, what's a trillion or two to Republicans? And again, you seem to believe that the numbers start and stop the day a President takes and then leaves office. So then, exactly WHERE do unfunded wars get factored in? Somebody's got to pay the tab, unless you're of the Dick Cheney mantra who so infamously stated "deficits don't matter!".
By-the-by...labeling someone as a "socialist" doesn't carry the adverse stigma you evidently believe it does. It seems to be a major point with you...ho hum.
If the stimulus was such a bust, then try and explain why some Republicans in Congress, who were so-o-o-o solidly against it, couldn't wait to be seen presenting a large check to someone in their district when the money became available. As you always seem loathe to provide sources, let me show you how easy it is:
http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/archives/individual/2010_02/022522.php
The Republicans, as evidenced by the current gaggle of candidates, have offered nothing of any finiteness in their plans...they always speak in terms of what they think Obama is doing wrong, but can't seem to define any workable plans. They speak in generalities...they'll do this, they'll do that, they'll revoke this or that when if they had the slightest inkling of what the job entails, they'd understand that they wouldn't be a party of one and be able to rule as a king or emperor. For example, Mitt has repeatedly stated that "if elected, I'll kill Obamacare". He fails to take into account that he, if President, wouldn't have the authority to arbitrarily do that. As we've seen with the obstructionists in the Republican House, it pretty much takes all three bodies to get anything done, but it only takes one to stall pretty much everything.
The way the country was hemorrhaging jobs when W left (about 780K/month), I'd think a job in the category of "saved" by Obama's or Congress's policies would be a good thing...but you evidently don't. However, if you have some empirical undeniable evidence that it's "all made up and bogus", please be so good as to publish your source(s). Here's mine:

Tell you what, witchy...you just announce who you're supporting and, considering your track record, I'll know who to lay a bet on who won't win.
Get A Grip!
There are "Airheads" & "Nutballs" in both parties ..... Sarah just happens to be the most conspicuous one ...... in five years, someone will mention Sarah Palin, and the reply will be ... "Sarah who?"
Show me your statistics for 'saved jobs' eye...
You want some of witchy's scorces?
here is a graph on nationall debt: http:// i.i.com .com /cnwk. 1d/ i/tim/ 2011/01/03 /image7209876.jpg
17 trillion happens by this year going by the current increase by that graph.
and jobs: http:// www. economicpopulist .org /content /unemployment-94-december-2010
There you go, have fun reading....Oh and ask? Realy? For all I know it was you who put that answer down. That graph you had showed jobs lost a month. If what your saying is true then why is unemployment STILL over 8%... the graph you showed just proved your ignorance on the subject. All that graph shows is that the jobs are like a dead body. You let it bleed long enough and soon there would be no blood left...
I'm amazed Caribou Barbie even knew what email was.
I thought the same thing! And to find out there were hundreds of thousands of them.
All this, just when I was feeling good about NOT seeing Palin's name in the news. Wondering how much money the GOP gave her to hide for the last several months, to shut her up. We all know she is a money monger and she discovered how stupid people really are and how easy it was to get their money....
"I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE" ....but I'd like to pretend I want to be president... lol.
Did any of the emails say "I can see Russia from my house" and other such pearls of wisdom?
We can't take it anymore either!
Classic example of ignorance!
All this about a non candidate's email and past travel while campaigning yet the President flies all over the US on the people's dime to campaign for the last three years, takes numerous vacations, and the media is quiet unless the GOP raises questions about it. I thought the news media is supposed to be unbiased!
Palin is not a candidate, neither is Bush or Cheney. When they could be slamming the President on a daily basis, they don't why not leave it at that or does their silence bug liberals that much? The job of POTUS is extremely trying, especially in times of war. Many younger men aged quite significantly while in office, republican and democrat alike. Is it any wonder that they would want to be as far in the background as possible? Would anyone like their statements taken from context and twisted or jeered at for no apparent purpose other than a reporter's political agenda? I think not.
I'm sorry, I get it that the woman is EXTREMELY dislikable. But she's not running for office now, and it doesn't appear that all the "vetting" has revealed any illegal or immoral activities....
So why is this even news? I don't agree with her politics, and I certainly don't like her personality, but do we really have to harrass her and her family like this? No wonder she says "I can't take it anymore"
I'm starting to feel sorry for her and I really don't want to!
Well, after all, it IS 'show-biz,' I mean politics!
Palin who?
Oh well she was comic relief
Wonder if there were any exchanged with L. Bias in this batch released.....
It was Glen Rice she was schtupping.
She waits 'til the sun goes down?
Palin brought all the gossip on herself by her behavior. And just as I've always suspected, she's a wimp and a quitter.
NOT presidential material (nor vice presidential).
I prefer no-drama OBAMA.
No drama Obama? You are right what has "no drama Obama" done except bring this country down to its knees.
Yanno, it's fine to dislike the woman, or her policies, or her politics, but you people are vile, and worse. If you are in any way typical of modern liberalism, as opposed to the classical form I practice (which is nothing like what you fools would imagine), then everyone not accustomed to goose-stepping while walking should vote against those doing your bidding.
to much pressure to be governor but vp will work just fine???? one heartbeat away from president..lol
hawk and jkatze:
What a couple of gross, nasty, haters you are! And you call conservatives racist! Do you also go around commenting on Bill Clinton's actually proven adultery with such glee? No? Didn't think so.
So it hasn't stopped, has it? All those allegations, all that money spent defending herself, ZERO EVIDENCE OF ANY WRONGDOING... and yet she continues to be peppered with disgusting allegations without a shred of supporting evidence.
While I might not thee the biggest Palin fan in the world, this is a governor that took on the corruption in her own party, fought the oil companies, and brought revenue back to her constituents. She quit when it became clear that her enemies would continue to waste the state's money with false allegations.
Just a few small things, such as: a) Osama bin laden is dead; b) the war in Iraq is over; c) our troops are coming home from Afghanistan. And what did Dubya do? Just put us in unimaginable, unprecedented debt that our great-great-grandchildren will still be dealing with. And THAT is what brought our country to its knees, dearie.
to kaybeetoys, Seriously, when watching the republican debate the other night, then thinking of Palin, is it not strange that she all of the sudden it not the most "whackist?"
to "commonsensemom,"
a little strange, coming from you, about hate????? Hey Mom, look it this way, better for a president (like Clinton) to be scr*wing some bimbo then scr*wing the country (like Bush, Palin, etc.).

So after enlisting the help from throngs of lawyers, viewers, volunteers, readers and media members to comb through 17,000 e mails, this is what they have come up with?
You liberals should get a new hobby because witch hunting isn't your strong suit. Would you folks dare to delve this deeply into Obama's records if they had been available? Maybe you could find a few gems for your liberal fantasy spank bank.
Galt 2012
Mozzie-600,
Whoa, While I'm not a big Bush fan, you better study some more on Obama, he has done way more harm to this country then Bush ever dreamed of...
I'm sorry, I get it that the woman is EXTREMELY dislikable. But she's not running for office now, and it doesn't appear that all the "vetting" has revealed any illegal or immoral activities....

I'm starting to feel sorry for her and I really don't want to!
@ Commonsensemom. It's not what she's done or not done, Mom. It's the hypocrisy, by golly.
Shut up! Obama worse than Bush? That is just the core of denial.
It would be helpful if you could elaborate on your statements, instead of just throwing meaningless words into the air. Bush had some pretty disastrous dreams for this country, all of which came true.
@Mozzie...you need your post checked for accuracy..."dearie". And BTW....I'm NO Bush fan, but feel compelled to set your idea of Obama STRAIGHT.
a) Obama followed the course set by Bush to get osama. Intel and Military presence ALL STARTED BY BUSH.
b) We still have MANY Troops in Iraq risking their lives EVERYDAY. So what's your point there?
c) When EXACTLY will ALL our troops be home from Afghanistan?
LASTLY....Obama SPENT 3 times more money in 3 years then Bush did in 8. How can you possibly give Obama a pass there?
@CBurroughs...you are absolutely right! Obama is in WAY OVER his head.
So Ricky,
Please give me one example of my hate. I was simply pointing out the hypocrisy of saying vile sexual things he about Sarah Palin, when there is zero evidence that any are true. Yet, President Clinton is revered by the left. Personally, I don't hate him at all in fact, these last three years, I've wished we could have had him back over the dismal failure that is President Obama.
I've always been fascinated by the hatred for Palin. Most people can't mention one political topic to expand on re their dislike. It's always..."she's horrible.....can't stand her....". Could it possibly be that many people are simply jealous? Politics aside; she's a great mom, seemingly good wife, successful business person, and even found the time to perform civic duties and found a career in politics. Oh yeah, she's pretty and takes good care of herself. She's the freaking poster child for womens lib, yet so many want to hate.
So....we spend literally tens of thousand man hours reading all her emails and what dirt do we find? NOTHING.
I'll say this.....if more people in this country had her attitude and outlook on life (and I don't mean same political views) we'd probably be FINE right now.
Pedestrian,
What hypocrisy are you referring to, exactly?
@commonsense mom....
You won't find many people from the left willing to get specific on Palin's politics. After the "she quit on her job in Alaska" argument, it gets rather quiet and turns into personal attacks on Palin and her family.
The left hate Palin b/c in 2008 on the campaign trail she made Hillary look like nothing more then a former first lady. She's a much more astute politician then Hillary. So the left cranked up their "Hate Machine" and now you have many people who hate Palin and can't tell you exactly why.
Raider,
Yeah, I know, but it constantly amazes me how very personal and vile (and unsubstantiated) their attacks are. Do they not realize it exposes them for the really unhinged, hatefu,l nasty people they are?
It is ugly. The irony to me is that if you took Palin and made her a Dem, SHE'D BE WORSHIPPED by the left. They would hold her personal life up on a pedestal for ALL to see.
@mozzie-600,
Sorry but....it wasnt Obama that pulled the trigger on Bin Laden. If it was, I'd applaud the man and build him a statue. But it wasn't. It was Seal Team 6. Facts are facts. Yes, Obama MAINTAINED the 'Kill Order' on OBL but he...in no way, shape or form....bears ANY recognition for the kill. He was only doing what he NEEDED to do (i.e. again, furthering the order that was put previously in place by Bush).
And let's not go waving any 'party flags' just yet....unless, of course, you agree that its all been ok to have Obama apologizing for America every chance he gets. I didnt vote for him. I dont speak for him. I would prefer he doesnt speak for me either. No apology that has left his lips do I agree with....but he can start by apologizing to the American people for, what I perceive to be, a serious lack of leadership in the previous 3 yrs. Before the bashing starts, I am NOT a Republican nor a Democrat. I can badmouth Bush as much as Clinton or Obama. But if everyone wants to 'rah-rah-rah' for their team.....so be it. My team is America. My teammates are Americans. Period. End o' story.
Palin...who?
3 isn't very good, but ignore and move on next time, commonsensemom, rather than post this:
You're suspended for a day for violating #1 of the Code of Honor.
@AmericanDefender9, rah-rah-rah for America. How about that?
@Mozzie-600, great that Osama died during Obama's term, great that the war in Iraq has been "officially" declared over and great that Obama wants to end the conflicts in Afghanistan. What does this all amount to? Not much when you consider that Obama had to go against his party's wishes and use information gathered by "inhumane advanced interrogation" techniques to find Osama, promised the withdrawal of troops far earlier than this and did not follow through and has done more to secure "peace" with a group that has declared on more than one occassion that any kind of remaining Western influence in their country would still be considered an act of war (so even the faux-democracy set up in Afghanistan is still gonna piss them off). Add this with his support of illegal immigrants vs legal immigrants/citizens and outspoken preference to people who are not Caucasian (and that's just his moral shortcomings), that really doesn't bode well for his 2012 chances.
Having said that, before anyone flames me about that, we still need to be cautious about whoever the Republican candidate is. Just because, on paper, they look better than Obama, does not mean that in practice they will be.
On their best day, this clown-car of republican candidates couldn't possibly look better than President Obama. He's a shoo-in for re-election.
@AmericanDefender9 - yet another digression from the topic of Sarah Palin, but: Do you actually believe that Seal Team Six, on its own, made the decision to infiltrate a sovereign state to carry out a standing kill order? Without specific authorization from the commander-in-chief? That authorization wasn't entirely without risk, by the way; imagine what would have happened had the mission failed. Like it or not, Obama was a bit more involved than just maintaining an existing kill order. Facts are facts.
Get off your high horse, Tyler. Your job is a joke. All you folks do here is try to drive conversations in favor of dems and libs. This is what a personal attack looks like.
Calling all these vile, sexist and bigoted comments what they are is not a personal attack. Go read your manual again.
Well, let's see. We can start with the obvious - she proposed and executed a very socialist program in her home state - making oil companies pay stipends to every Alaska citizen in exchange for mining their resources. Video of Palin crowing about how "Alaska is known as the Socialist State" are easily found if you haven't seen them. Flash forward to post-McCain and suddenly she's on Fox News crying about Obama's "dangerous" socialist policies and the evils of socialism, how it's going to ruin the country etc. etc.
We can also use the cap and trade issue to illustrate her hypocrisy - again, she's on record as being 100% behind cap and trade, until suddenly it was a "dangerous" Obama policy and we'd better take our country back, you betcha!
Then there's the issue of teaching abstinence - do I really need to go there for you? How about her admitting that she considered abortion when she found out about her downs syndrome baby? Good thing she had a choice - she doesn't seem to think that the rest of us should have one. How about her angry rhetoric regarding health care reform? Her kids get 100% health care paid by Alaska taxpayers because of some indigenous ancestor, but your kids shouldn't be covered if they have a pre-existing condition.
There are plenty of examples of her addiction to pork when it comes to spending, but get her on the tube and all she talks about is fiscal responsibility and generational theft. She left Wasilla with millions in debt and AK wasn't doing so great when she quit either. The bridge to nowhere was a drop in the bucket.
She talks about divisiveness in politics a lot over there at Fox. She decries it loudly and in the next breath she attacks the President and everything he does. She doesn't stray from the talking points either - whether it's drill, baby, drill (without acknowledging that we have tripled the number of drilling rigs in the US under Obama) or where's the birth certificate, Mrs. Palin is right in the thick of divisive politics and seems to enjoy delivering a punch line immensely.
Finally, lets talk about all the flag waving and the "I raised a combat veteran" and "proud to serve if I'm called to do so" business - she was called, all right. Called by the people who elected her and expected her to do her job. Yet, at the earliest opportunity she ran - first for possible personal advancement, then for monetary gain. She couldn't even finish her first term before going on her book/bus tour and signing on to a network known for it's dishonesty. Of course she blames everyone else without acknowledging that if she had just gone back to doing her job instead of aiming for tea party mascot, she would have been left alone. Well, I hope it was worth it to her. The people who believed in her felt betrayed, and rightly so.
She's gone from an independent, somewhat credible politician with a record of working with both parties to a money-grubbing, dishonest has-been. Hypocrisy. Plain and simple.
@ Raider... Really??? So only liberals attack conservatives, never the other way around? My god you people are the most delusional bunch of paste munching window lickers in history. You pummel the POTUS on a daily basis and you have the nerve to say liberals are horrible for the way they treat Sarah the bubble head? I see Russia... Paul Revere was warning the British... I don't know what is a Bush doctrine... Yea we don't have anything to say besides she quit her job? If she was a Dem not only would she be the same idiot she is now but you people would be tarring and feathering her! The reason you may here silence after that remark is because the idiot speaks for herself so eloquently. LMAO... You have ZERO right or credibility as a right leaning agent of BS to pass judgement on liberals who do as you do. You can hate us all you want but you are a gigantic hypocrite to judge us. Now get back to your pork rinds ya patriot okie dokie...
So, how's that money-making thingy of yours going, Sarah?
i personally hope that whole administration never shows itself in public again... including this idiot palin. thank GOD we don't have her as a VP ...i really would have had to move to Canada... uggggg
She could not be any worse than our current VP.
our current vp may be ineffectual, but he's not a complete idiot miss america wanna-be...
We ended up with Obama, how is that just as bad or worse. At least Palin had experience running a state and Obama didn't have any experience running anything, which is painfully obvious. He was a state senator for a few years and then a U S Senator for 200 days before he started running for president and lied about his hope and change and most other things he promised, like cutting the deficit in half his first term, and working across the isle to unite us. All of these things he complains about now, he could have done his first two years when he had a super majority, Insyead he wasted it all on Obamacare that is going to be struck down. He also increased the deficit by 5 1/2 trillion in less than 4 years. what do you think about a president who aplogizes for burning Korans with notes from inmates in them, but does not ask or expect an apology for the two soldgiers killed?
Bill, did it ever occur to you that maybe, when Obama apoligizes, he is really just F***ing with conservative batsh*ts?????
Hey Bill D,
The problem with using facts to support a conclusion when talking with liberals is that facts don't matter. Theirs is a religion, not an honest search. Plenty like that on the right too, but at least when they invoke their religion it doesn't compel me to pay for someone else's life choices. To win over the liberal mind you must only use feeling and emotion coupled with a promise for more free stuff. Anything less runs counter to the orthodoxy.
Bill,
And as if on cue to prove my point for me, there is Ricky.
You people that would prefer Palin over President Obama are really grasping at straws. You gave no reason why, so I assume you just don't like him because the facts show that he has done many things, BIG things...this woman can't take the pressure of being Governor and she thought she had the stuff to run a country. Wow, grasping....
Exactly, Diverdown. I wonder how she would have handled 4 years of whackjobs suing to see her birth certificate?
This is your argument on why Obama is failing? Talk about grasping at straws, lol.
Okay...here are a few; 1) Obama spent 3 times as much as Bush, AFTER campaigning to stop spending. And he did it in less then 3 years. Not 8 like Bush.
2) Obama has shown an INABILITY to make hard choices/decisions. Quit blaming Congress, and get in there and show your leadership....or don't.
3) Ramming Obamacare down our throats in a matter of months. No vetting process and the infamous words of Pelosi, "we have to pass it to know what's in it". What do u say about her my SF Ped friend and Bay neighbor?
4) Ability to follow the previous leader by keeping Guantanamo open. Using intel and military presence initiated by Bush to make a NO BRAINER call on killing osama. How hard was that?
Look....Obama is a cool guy and I'd probably get along as neighbors or have a beer with him. HOWEVER that charisma is NOT enough to be POTUS. He's CLEARLY over his head. More so then Bush.
@Raider: ??? Put the bottle down, Dude. I would never argue re Obama "failing" because obviously he's not. Let's address your spin, shall we?
Well, no. The deficit in Jan 09 was about 7 trillion. Obama's initial spending was primarily covering the things Bush approved but never paid for - two wars, medicare drug plan, and tax cuts. To date the deficit is NOT 21 trillion. You fail.
Really? Like every single thing he's accomplished despite the howling and insults from the GOTea? Healthcare reform, consumer protections, ending combat in Iraq, killing pirates, killing terrorists, supporting democracy in Egypt and Libya, doubling down on education in America, extending tax cuts (an unpopular decision with his base, but he did it), two supreme court justices, cabinet positions, DADT overturned, etc. etc. etc. You fail. Again.
Look at the voting record in Congress for every single thing above and tell me there is no obstructionism. Go to youtube and search for video on goal to make Obama one term President and tell me who's saying it. Pretending it's not happening doesn't make it true. You fail. Again.
Okay, lol @ you. I guess Obama made the hard choice to go ahead with this because of the obvious benefit to millions of Americans. So much for your earlier statement, eh? As for Speaker Pelosi's comment, context is your friend. If you actually listened to her statement instead of el Rushbo's take on it, you might know what she meant. The HCR act is already saving lives. It might save yours someday. How do I feel about Pelosi? Love her. She was so much more effective as speaker than Boehner it's not even funny.
Obama actually proposed closing Gitmo since it was a campaign promise of his. Congress overrode this proposal. Intel and military presence initiated by Bush? Bush stopped wanting Osama as soon as he invaded Iraq. He's on record as saying as much, in fact, as I recall, he said it at least three times and seemed very sincere. I guess when it came right down to it, he was incapable of making the hard choices/decisions, eh? Obama was big enough to actually gave credit to Bush when he announced the killing of OBL, even though Panetta said that it was a Pakistani doctor who finally tipped them off. You think it wasn't a hard decision to send the Seals into a compound in a sovereign country to knock someone off? Seriously? If it had gone wrong, it would have been the ultimate clusterfark. It took guts and brains and conviction.
So, look... 27 months of private sector job growth. Manufacturing up. Exports (things we manufacture) up. More oil exports than imports at this point. Millions of Americans can now get health insurance. We've clawed our way out of the proverbial ditch and we're headed in the right direction. If the GOTea would get their collective heads out of their collective arses and work with this center/right President for the good of Americans for a change, imagine what could be done. He's obviously the better choice for the next four years - especially when you look at the hacks, clowns and losers trying to grab the GOP nomination.
Thanks "Pedestrian for taking the time to refute the Republican lies. You forgot to mention the equality in pay bill. Obama has done a phenomenal amount in an atmosphere of hatred, bigotry, and lies from the right. I think the mainstream Americans will remember this at the polls.
But more importantly? Only 2 dozen people on the planet Earth actually cared. America quit Sarah as easily as she quit working for Alaskans.
Sarah Palin so embarrassed NBC over these emails. NBC was told if they could only get ahold of Palin's emails they would find the smoking gun. Nope. NBC was told Todd and Sarah were devorcing. Nope. NBC was told Todd and Sarah embezzled to build their home. Nope. NBC was told Sarah is mentally unstable. That lie is unraveling under its own weight. If NBC actually Gov. Palin is bonkers, they have an obligation to call for an investigation into how the FBI investations protentian VP candidates. I am not holding my breath over that. If NBC wants to pander to the few thousand people that bought Joe McGinniss book they will never be anything but an out of control network.
Yeah - cuz we don't suppose to have freedom of the press in this nation, is we?
She knew enough to use a private account for government business - I wonder what she was hoping to hide? Other than those family vacations on the taxpayer dime, that is...
At least our current "queen" doesn't spend taxpayers money on her vacation(s). Oh wait, never mind, my bad!!!
Sorry, but you've let your conspiracies get ahead of your facts. As you can tell from the story itself, these records are not personal records. They're public records, belonging to the people of Alaska. (Government officials sometimes think of records as "theirs," but it's important to keep them on track; the records are, in fact, "yours.") These records were requested way back in August and Sepatember 2008, when then-Gov. Palin first stepped onto the national stage. The state released them, or some of them, after at first saying these and other e-mails could be released only at a cost of $15 million. In other words, the governor's office, not the media, controlled the timing. I trust that you believe that public records should be shared with the public.
Lets not forget the TENS of THOUSANDS of dollars she spent in campaign money for her Wardrobe when she was running for VP.
As for the e-mails they were expecting to see, well I HIGHLY doubt that those e-mails were released. One would obviously suspect that those were among the 900+ that have yet to be released. Have some common sense BASSINAPPLE
Do you really think those kind of records would have been released by a state government? Now had it been an FBI investigation, thats another story. That said, how much can you really trust anyone in government to be honest anymore. There is so much lying and disinformation that it's tough to tell fact from fiction most of the time.
Darrell53... do you have any facts to back up your BS statements... Oh wait, of course not, my bad...
/sigh....
These emails show an absolute idiot, Sarah Palin, who lacked any ability as a sitting Governor to keep substance and issues above her own family and personal nonsense.
The only thing the emails show she was "hard at work" at was trying to control what the public would learn about her lack of attention to running the state.
And with thousands and thousands of unreleased and redacted emails, its impossible to know what the unreleased emails would show. Clearly though this was not something the state of Alaska wanted to provide. It took them YEARS to comply with the law by releasing even the first portion and now this final batch another year later. Sure, nothing to hide.
Leaving Sarah Palin aside, what concerns me is this massive delay by states providing information - THAT IS PUBLIC INFORMATION - means anytime we want/need information to learn about candidates before an election we won't have the information available until years after the election. This is not what is intended by FOI laws and public access to government. Its sickening that any state, any governor, any administration like Palin's (and countless others) can delay for 3 years in providing what the public has the RIGHT TO HAVE immediately.
All this flap over Sarah and we have a President that won't release medical records, School records, travel records, Bar aplications, passport applications, how he paid for a top notch education, huge questions over alledged multipule social security numbers and why he has released two Birth certificates that look nothing alike and are full of anomilies but hey lets harp about Sarah Palins dead political carreer.
Amazing!
Do we hear about corruption charges for his rezko land deal?
Do we hear about his ties to a billionare out of Chicago?
Nothing like the obvious left cover from the lamestream news.
These Palin haters are so pathetic. I knew that this would get them going. Anyone with a conscience that is in Public Service has to feel the same way she did in these emails. Just a good insight into sanity when the Governor is sick of the Idiots that people elect.
Hey Deadman, how about some sluthing through Obama's records? Can you do that or would that damage your liberal street cred?
MSNBC=HACK JOURNALISM
It's starting to look like a witch hunt at this point and I don't even like the woman.
Mr. Dedman,
So how many tens of thousands did this FRUITLESS witch hunt cost the taxpayers of Alaska, exactly? To what end?
Did you also file requests for President Obama's e-mails when he was a state senator in Illinois or a U.S. senator? Did you report on his crooked real estate deal with now-convicted felon Tony Rezko for his home in Chicago? Did you check out Mr. Obama's connections to Bill Ayers or Bernadine Dorn, or even report who they were? Did you ask Mr. Obama whether he bought into Reverend Wright's racist rants or explain to your readers/viewers what black liberation theology is? Have you had the same curiosity about the transparency of the Obama administration, perhaps why the President promised a public debate on C-SPAN on the healthcare debate and no special interests, but instead we got secret deals in locked rooms with groups like AARP and the AMA, among others? Have you reported on the White House's refusal to release e-mails regarding Solyndra? Are you looking into the connections that his donors have to all the green energy give-aways? Have you investigated the fact that when the White House visitor logs were requested, the staff simply began holding secret meetngs at a location across the street? Are you currently investigating why suddenly GE is requiring employees to use only Chevy Volts for company cars? Or any other of the many, many ACTUAL CHARGES of cronyism?
Or is NBC only interested in digging up dirt on Republicans and Conservatives? Yeah, don't bother answering--we know. Fortunately for the country, very few people watch you corrupt, dishonest networks anymore. Case in point: my family. For 15+ years, my family was basically parked on NBC. We recorded and watch the entire Today Show, got informed with Tom Brokaw, then Brian Williams, watched the entire evening line-up, went to bed watching Jay Leno and followed politics on Meet the Press and Hardball. But something happened to NBC around the time of time of Tim Russert's death: all the class just got up and walked off from NBC. Chris Matthews suddenly got tingles, and all attempts at objectivity ceased. Suddenly, green energy (and, consequently, GE) were constantly promoted, and candidate Obama was openly worshipped. Today featured Katy Perry crooning to a crowd of little girls that she'd kissed a girl (and she'd liked it!).
That day, we were done. We changed the channel. No more Today, no more Leno, no more evening news, Hardball, or Leno. Now that you've cancelled Friday Night Lights and Chuck, we have absolutely NO REASON at all to watch your vile little network. Congratulations: You have successfully alienated many of your staunchest viewers. Enjoy your failure and hatred.
8, 9 restored from collapse - on-topic.
....
Also, Bill Dedman's responses are awesome and deserve the visibility.
commonsensemom, Let's stick to the facts: When we at msnbc.com pressed the Obama administration to release its White House visitor logs, so we could look for lobbyists, did you write in then to say, hey, why don't you go after some Republicans? No, you did not. Why? Becasue you're an advocate, and you think anyone reporting facts about your "side" is therefore biased, and you ignore any reporting on the "other side." As for emails from state Sen. Obama, or Speaker Gingrich or other legislators, you may not know that legislators, and the Congress, typically exclude themselves from the public records laws -- that's something you may want to write to your Legislature and Congress ask them to redress. Remember, we at msnbc.com (we're not MSNBC -- that's a different company) did not start this search for public records -- the governor of Alaska did, by trying to hide from the public the public's business. We asked for the emails, and according to the state law those should have been made available to us, and to the Republican activist who requested them, within 10 days. It's Gov. Palin, and her successor (her former lieutenant governor, Gov. Sean Parnell, that have stretched this out). Again, I must ask, we're making the public's records available to the public. Which part of that do you oppose?
MSNBC has so little respect of the intelligence of their readers they wont tell you what was in those emails. Why? Because they show a governor hard at work.
Actually, they showed someone who wasn't really interested in the boring little details of governing. No wonder she quit - being a Faux News "correspondent" is so much more fun!
Actually, we're posting the AP's stories on these emails. Nothing hidden by us. (You might ask, however, why it took more than three years for the state to release them.)
Smack down... Good job Bill... Need to keep these lies in their place.
Actually it shows me how completely unfit she was for VP let alone Prez. I'm sure she didn't have half the pressure that Obama has and she couldn't take it for more than a few months. Did she really think everyone in politics would love her and not give her any trouble?
If Caribou Barbie couldn't take being a Gov, she sure wouldn't be able to take the crap dished to a Pres.
Thanks Bill. I can understand why the State was reluctant to release these. It's an invasive and costly process but I agree that they are public record and should be released. That said, it seems to me a monumental waste of time since they show nothing improper or illegal or interesting. You might say that the release has helped Palin since it vindicates her at some level but based on the comments here I don't think many care. They have already convicted her and no amount of exculpatory evidence will change their minds.
She is a deserter......she left her post because 'she couldn't take it anymore'..... She acts tough, but when things got hot for 'momma bear' she tucked her tail and ran.... think if she was president...."i can't take it anymore" She may be popular with the Tea party down south, but i don't think she could even get elected to a condo association here in Alaska.
no doubt one of our worst governors we've had.
Personal attacks on me have no meaning and only prove my point that MSNBC has no respect of the intelligence level of their readers.
So, you admit you are the Toddster????
His pants are down, his cover's BLOWN!
When did we suddenly hit this strange situation when pointing out that someone is wrong is a "personal attack"? It's not an attack. It's a statement of fact. You were wrong. Deal.
Basinapple - Exactly what I have come to see. To get all the news, one has to go elsewhere.
@bassinapple: we'd probably have a lot more respect for the intelligence of the readers if they could only manage to use proper English grammar...
voiceontheleft
If what you say is true, then why is ANYONE who disagrees with Obama a RACIST???
slodon,
How does that even remotely relate to my post?
Here let me settle this for ya guys. Both sides do exactly the very same thing that is being illustrated on this forum. Have nothing good to add to the solutions and therefore only add to the problems. This administration while going through a mess no-doubt, has, actually done nothing for America as a whole.
Might have they reach their ideologiesfor their agenda's, more then likely, helped the American people? I guess it just depends on what you call help, They have played the masses so long we've gotten used to it, good politician/ bad politician. Neither have given all Americans whom they are supposed to be working for the truth. You know what about all the transparacies and then decided it was best to try and censor the Internet. ( Mr. Obama ) well at least I can say he carries himself well, not to make a mockery of our country.
You say the GOP is for the rich and I got some news for you too, they all do and could really care less how you or am doing as long as them and their children have theirs. Hmmm just maybe the haves and have nots, that's truly where this country has went.
Don't really have an idea on how to correct this unless all of them are voted out and we start anew, place policies that will jail them if they break the law and succumb to the lobbyist again. Maybe get rid of the federal reserve my help as well, along with wall street. I don't really know so all of you have a nice day and here's to ya being happy.
Amazing, for the very little this person did for our great state, and to have all these e mails, must have been to her publishers and such, since it's rather obvious that this person was and is more interested in her bank account than anything else. So embarrassing (as a long time resident), of this great state that we would actually have to admit that this phony was our Governor.
Brian, I've got to admit that AK has had its share of doozies. For sure, those of us in the lower 48 would include "Bridge to Nowhere" Teddy. He did a lot for Alaskans but cost the rest of us a lot of money.
Don't feel too bad brian. I'm embarassed to say we had Santorum.
You think that is bad, we have Cantor!
Try being from SW Ohio... so we have Boehner, with neighbor states having elected officials only representing the 1%, it's excruciating to hear about their antics. To top it off I was from PA, so can really feel for LA99999. People need to elect public officials who actually want to represent the masses, not special interests. Everyone needs to actually listen to what these candidates are really saying and how it will impact the 'greater good'.
JackBNimble1
The bridge to nowhere was/is the pride earmark of Congressman Don Young ,Not Ted Stevens ,sir (Teddy) I tip my hat to Mr Stevens, He was a good man.
After a llittle more checking there Jack. I see that ted was in on that too. And took up the spearhead of that bridge to nowhere, sorry
If some Republicans are dumb enough to listen to anything Newt has to say, there will also be a few who'll listen to Sarah Yahbetcha. They are even dumb enough to send them money!
I didn't realize the Wicked Witch had a computer on her broom.
Who's Palin?
Who?
Michael Palin was a member of the comedy troup, Monty Python.
It is ironic though, that both Palin's have reality shows on cable now and Sarah's is funnier!
The current vice president is actually more stupid than the one that lost. Seriously have you listened to the crap he says? Palin has way more on the ball the Joe Biden. Oh but I getit, to you liberals, Joes gaffs are oh so cute. As for Obama, congrats on picking the worst president EVER!.
Who's Palin?
Joe never quit on his constituents though. He's done a fine job as VP and will do so for 4 more years. Meanwhile, Mrs. Palin will continue to fade into obscurity, popping up once in a while with her nonsensical fireside chats and folksy sayings, doncha know.
Hard:
This "worst President ever" commentary is getting tiresome. At the very least it means nothing, but it might make some of you folks feel better while typing...?
Alternatively, if Old Man McCain and Palin had won:
GM would have been sold to the Chinese (or at least the parts, just as we sold off factory parts to the Japanese in the 80's)
Another 4 more years in both Iraq and Afghanistan (McCain seems to be the only Iraq authority still talking, next to Cheney's daughter)
Govt austerity vs. stimulus (tried in England over a year ago, they are still in a worsening recession trend, unlike here)
Bush Tax Club Rates would have been made permanent already
There are others, but the variables are higher.
hardtostarboard you guys had that worst ever thing nailed down with dubya
Palin is a bimbo. Didn't even know who Paul Revere was. She's dumb as a brick.
Don’t speak in generalities unless you can back your opinion with specifics. Your problem is, you think your opinions are facts, and attribute them to a category of people that exist entirely in your mind. Unfortunately that is not reality.
Worst president ever is a bit(read MILES) of a stretch. Some presidents didn't last long, but George W Bush actually had 8 years to really screw things up and the current president has had about 3 years so far to clean up his mess. Personally I'm fed up with Democrats and Republicans alike who are more concerned with furthering their own/their party's agenda than doing what's right for the country. Both parties desperately need to be gone, but until that happens, I have to go with the lesser of two evils in Obama.
Just don't ask the question "Are you better off than you were 4 years ago". The answer isn't very good. I don't know if Obama is the worst President ever but every economic measure is worse since he took the helm.
By all means, let's not let common sense or reasonable thoughts dominate our dialoge! First off, I am not an Obama fan. I find him divisive and his presence causes a lot of conflict that our nation didn't need after 8 years of George Bush. With that said, trying to hold ANY president accountable for "fixing" a nation in two wars and going into a horrible recession in less than four years is amazingly stupid. I may not like the man and think he has made a lot of mistakes, but, trying to say, "are we better off now than we were four years ago," I have to say yes we are. When Obama took over the books became clear. The Bush administration was not adding the cost of the war into their budget for the people. So it appeared we had this huge increase in debt under Obama, which was false. Many forget that it was Bush who started the bailouts. Many are forgetting that the auto industry bailout has been paid back and kept jobs in America. Many are forgetting that under Obama we have more gun rights and freedoms than under Bush. Many are forgetting that there have been many more deportations from America than under Bush. Many are forgetting that it takes time to fix years of poorly run (both governmentally and financially) system. We have more transparency than we did. Could our POTUS have done a better job? Yes! But show me a POTUS who couldn't have done a better job.
As far as Palin and being attacked is concerned, I am going to call it what it is: BS. Palin was a horrible leader not only as Governor, but as Mayor of Wasilla. Do some research on Mayor Palin and you will find a story far more interesting than of her being Governor or VP Nominee. The rampant spending took a small town with no debt and buried it in debt. The fact that she "couldn't take it" anymore shows a lack of character to be a leader. I do believe that Obama has taken on more direct hits to his character and leadership than Palin ever has. Not many could handle the attacks on him through the birthers, tea party, and cries of his being Muslim and kept it together as he has. The facts come down to this one undeniable truth. Palin quit the job she was elected to do. She left the post she campaigned for. A true leader sticks through it, thick and thin. George W. Bush stuck it through. Clinton stuck it through. Giving a "pass" to Palin because she was being "picked on" not only is a copout, but it weakens the position of women in government that they are not as strong as their male counterparts! Let me say it one more time so I am clear. I am not a huge Obama fan. I was a Hillary supporter. But, we are better off than we were 3 years ago, even if we are still struggling.
Q22- Cosidering what Bush did to the economy, lets see, he went into office with a surplus of cash. In four months it was gone. He turned the economy into the wild, wild west. He made us the most hated country on the planet. He left Obama with a trillion dollars in debt. The rich got richer while the poor got poorer. It will take more than four years to undo the mess Bush & Cheney left behind. And Obama caused it? You must be one of the "children left behind". Because if you had another half a brain, you'd be a half-wit. Get real... Bush, the best president money can buy. A**h*le
Bush hasn't been President for nearly 4 years now. Obama owns the economy now and he has only made things worse. He has added more debt than Bush did in 8 years and what have we gotten for it? High unemployment, weak growth and creeping inflation.
Obama knew what he had when he took office. He made policy choices and, at least for the first couple of years, got everything he wanted. Yet things didn't improve - they only got worse. That is his record.
omay while I couldn't agree more with you, who's at fault here! The man whom created all this bullcrap, or, the we the people who put up with it? I'll go with we the people, if these so called people in our government do something against the other side we are ok with it. Well doesn't affect me attitude.
Seems just maybe not keeping a watchful eye on everything is what got us into this mess. Want to be a geat nation again? Then let us, we the people Unite and stand together for what we want, not the corporations and or the MIC. I'm hoping we can get through this w/o another revolution, seems the sheeple will follow their master no matter which field he leads them too. Greed has ruined many a great civilizations.
Carter inherited a bad economy but made it worse. Reagan inherited Carter's worse economy and made it soar. You have a lot excuses for Obama's failures but in the end they are OBAMA's failures, not Bush's.
u left BUSH OUT I HAVE A COAT JHANGER HANGING IN MY CLOSET SMARTER than BUSH. HE WAS BRAIN DEAD WHEN HE STOLE 2 ELECTIONS

So what is the point?? She sent and recieved e-mails. And??
This is another MSNBC non-article. I appreciate that you fellas need to keep writing something....anything to keep your jobs. Can't you write about something with some kind of relevance to something??
Commenting on this is like commenting on the grass growing. Yawn.
Who's Palin?
Ya I heard the other day that GOD was very unhappy with a few people and he was sending a bunch; and I mean a bunch of tornados to clean up the repuick bible belt this year GOD is not Happy WITH YOU REPUICKS just you wait I warning you
I sure PALIN will agree just ask her
Yet you read it and commented......
But palin endorsed santorum who like hitler had catholic parents & was raised a catholic but drifted far from the teachings of the church. And wrt to global warming, the pope and santorum could not be more far apart. Because if gw is true, mass exterminations occur again.
Did you forget your Meds??
I am in favor of birth control and abortions for liberals.
You wasted every second and keystroke after typing Hitler.
At least it took until comment 18 for Godwins law to kick in.
Hopefully medicated liberals are the majority of the mass extermination.
Dear DNC = let it go. It worked, YOU destroyed her. I mean, think of the nerve that a non-Ivy League, non-socialist progressive, middle class person would EVER think of running for anything in this country. We now know such positions are ONLY held for the annointed wealthy (that included Obama for those of you clones out there who really believe that book they wrote about him is true )- laughable even to an ignorant middle - class racist like me.
Did you enjoy her book.........or did you even buy a copy........
@ RK: *sniffle* Poor little victim snowbilly. So misunderstood. That mean old community organizer should be ashamed of himself. ;)
(psst... she is on record as proudly proclaiming "Alaska is known as the most socialist state!" due to her policies. Look it up. I dare you.)
No, she destroyed herself all on her own.
Every time she opened her mouth, she showed her ignorance, lack of knowledge and complete absence of preparation. Even when her handlers armed her with the information to be in the know, she scoffed at them.
Her only concern was her and how she could make it even more about her. Ultimately, her vanity and arrogance is what destroyed her.
Racists are pigs.
The DNC did not destroy her. Her inability to govern effectively destroyed her. Her inability to stand up to the same scrutiny as every other candidate destroyed her. Her inability to put coherent thoughts together in interviews destroyed her. If you want to blame anyone, blame John McCain for not vetting Palin as he should have and rushing her to the center stage before she was ready.
RK432892--WOW--just really typical that not only are you unabashedly admitting it -- you seem almost --- PROUD OF IT.
What party is it that says "it's not about having a black man in the white house"? REALLY?
Geesh--the idiots still think we are in the early 20th century and incapable of reasonable thought!
And she is a non entity that draws the ire of liberals? Why? Perhaps it is because she had the fortitude to stand up and say the emperor was naked! Her most famous line, "How's that hopey, changey thing working for ya" still holds true. The current administration is more intent on buying votes with federal handouts than actually governing. President Obama spends more time campaigning than he does anything else. Every time he opens his mouth another campaign speech is sure to follow, when one does not, it is because he is apologizing to Muslims for the US existing.
The 1st step is admitting your physiological problem!
Archangel - yeah, he "campaigned OBL to death, campaigned our economy away from depression, campaigned over 2 million private sector jobs into being, campaigned a record amount of US exports onto the market, campaigned domestic oil production to a record high (we now export now than we import). I hope he keeps on campaigning!
Obama 2012!
We export refined oil products. We import more oil than we produce or export.
Shhhh, you wasn't supposed to tell them. Had them fooled up to now! Damn he's is good I didn't know that Obama was part of the seal team 6. 20+ million jobs lost and they created 2 million, oh well I guess screw the other 18 million then. Hell with all that oil going around why in hell is he letting them rich bas-turds raise the cost of fuel in this country?
I just believe he should have focused on getting people back to work before anything else and that would have been good for the whole nation.
You know he is pretty smart going after all these big companies and they still donate big dollars to his campaign. nod nod wink wink. Still I think he was handed a large bag of shtz and really what could one man possibly do? So for the rest of us out here I guess it's ok to suffer, 50yrs and up lost your income tuff-crap and that's a fact. I want to point out I do live in a Republican state though.
If they would go around and start arresting these rich pukes whom stole from this country, even while being homeless it would make me happy. Please go after them and then, I will think there's still a little justice in this country. Very little. Oh and no fines I want them in prison w/ their best bubba by their side.
Well it just goes to show you, Sarah is much better at running her mouth then running Alaska, haha.
Really who the hell cares. Please MSNBC drop her!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hire Tina Fey!
Sarah Palin not only does not work for MSNBC, I seriously doubt she would even agree to appear on the network (nor do I think it very likely they would bother to ask).
msnbc might ask her a tuff question like what do you read...?
Why has NO ONE picked up on the etymological FACT that you can rip the ELL out of here name and your left with one big PAIN!!!!!!!! Your Welcome, Bobby T
Very good Bobby T! Voted it up.
Who?
I fully agree.
The Best! NO EYE HOLES...to funny weneversleep! Republican Justice is Blind...Deaf...and Dumb as s...

Well goodness. If she couldn't "take it anymore" as governor in a state that has less people than most major mainland cities in the US, how would she ever be able to "take it" as VP or Pres of the US? In fact, why is she relevant anymore?
Ron, that was a long time ago. She's not running for office. This is VERY old news. We have more important issues to discuss. Refer to my post below:
The media is still talking about Sarah Palin??? Pathetic. Obsessive.
Anything to detract from Obama's glaring failings as leader of this country. Let's leave Sarah and her family alone, finally, and discuss dimwit Barack's 9% unemployment rate, rising fuel costs, downgrading of our credit rating, and his continuous contravening of our country's system of checks & balances and trampling of our Constitution, most recently the First Amendment.
Wonder why the media wants to talk about Sarah Palin instead. Years old emails, no less. What a joke.
That is not anything great, just more of the same when a politician gets into the stuff too deep.
