Multiple sources tell NBC News the woman with her back to the camera in the top photo is Paula Broadwell. She is pictured at a reception prior to the annual OSS Society awards dinner in Washington on Oct. 27, speaking to a man who is nearly obscured in the photo. The photographer and a senior U.S. intelligence official tell NBC News that the man is Gen. David Petraeus, also attended the event. The photo below, taken approximately a minute later, shows Petraeus speaking to one of the unidentified guests in the first photo.
Two weeks before his resignation as CIA Director, David Petraeus and his biographer, Paula Broadwell, met at an event honoring one of Petraeus' predecessors, NBC News has learned. It is the last known meeting between the two before the scandal that cost Petraeus his job went public and occurred after Broadwell had admitted to the FBI the two had an extramarital affair, according to multiple government and law enforcement officials.
One senior U.S. intelligence official who attended the event – the annual Office of Strategic Services Society awards dinner -- tells NBC News that he saw the two speak to each other at the Oct. 27 event. The official did not know details of the conversation.
And photographer James Brantley, who worked the event, said he is certain the two spoke, based on the photos above, which he estimated were taken about a minute apart. The first shows Broadwell speaking to a man who is nearly obscured in the photo, as two unidentified guests look on. The second, taken from a different position, clearly shows Petraeus speaking to one of the other guests from the first photo.
The duo’s presence at the same event was first reported by the conservative weekly Human Events, which said they attended together. But numerous partygoers interviewed by NBC News disputed that.
Still, their public proximity raised eyebrows after the events of last week unfolded.
Said one former senior U.S. intelligence official who attended, “It’s mind-boggling that she could be so reckless as to show up at high-profile events like this, shortly after learning the FBI was investigating their affair.”
Charles T. Plinck, director of the OSS Society, did not return phone calls seeking comment from NBC News.

The event came more than a month after Broadwell was first interviewed by the FBI following discovery of compromising emails that ultimately led to Petraeus' resignation on Nov. 9. Days after the event, the FBI would interview Petraeus for the first time and Broadwell for a second time. The event also occurred about four months after the two reportedly broke off their 10-month affair.

The dinner is the annual award ceremony of the OSS Society, a group dedicated to honoring veterans of the Office of Strategic Services, the World War II predecessor to the Central Intelligence Agency. Petraeus, who sources described as being in a "great mood" that night, gave one of the speeches honoring former CIA director and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, the recipient of this year's William Donovan Award, named for the director of the OSS.
The dinner is one of the intelligence community's most high-profile events. It attracts top U.S. and international intelligence officials, former directors of the CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies. In addition to Petraeus and Gates, others who attended included John Bennett, director of the CIA’s National Clandestine Service; William Webster, former head of both the CIA and FBI; Adm. Mike Mullen, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Ambassador Hugh Montgomery, former director of the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research.

This is a pretty fair assessment of the heads of the CIA and FBI's ability to keep a secret. As they are world class clandestine organizations that ability is paramount.

Florida seems to be a breeding gound for corruption.
Persons like Congressman Vern Buchanan whom has been accused of multi illegal acts by former partners, CFO, CPA's and former employees can breeze through a FBI investigation by the Tampa FBI field office. But people like a military general whom answers to a democratic president gets nailed for an affair.
Someting is not right here. Let us compare: Buchanan---possible bank fraud, tax fraud, consumer fraud, campaign contribution fraud, employee wage fraud and more. Thousands of internal documents, multi witnesses which included former partners, CFO, CPA's, consumers and employees, e-mails and more showing all the claims to be true. AGAINST: Kelley---A AFFAIR BETWEEN CONSENTING ADULTS. E-mails between consenting adults.
Then you have a FBI agent going to republican congressmen to expose the investigation the day of the election. Not the White House, not his bosses, and not to any chain of command. What is the connection here--trying to influence a political campaign at the last minute.
Whom should be investigated is the Tampa FBI field office. The question to be investigated is: Has republican politics influenced the investigation of Buchanan or Kelley.
Whom is to blame in Florida is the voters who continue to put bad leaders into office rather than voting for honest political leaders. Until the voters wake up and vote honesty and truth. The corruption will continue.

How does Broadwell know Allens email address to send him a warning? I thought she was banging the looser Peter the Petrraus. As this goes on, there is a lot of banging that was going on with these good old boys wasting taxpayer money. How in the world Allen has time to lead troops when he's sending these scum bag gals thousands of email? That should be grounds to suspend his confirmation hearing to NATO. Derelation of duties for spending all his time sending flirtatios emails to a hooker.
She is there to show she's back on the market, show the goods, take names and numbers for the next big whig who want to go a few rounds and have her "write a book" on him.
Classified info on her computer as a reservist working in intelligence, what did the FBI expect? Obvioulsy the info wasn't from Petraeus of he would be in chains by now.... All of this is nothing but more distraction and with tabloid hoopla like paparazzi trash. The National Enquirer would be jealous.
Unless it is proven that our national security was compromised by their compromising, then who cares if they had an affair? This is something both need to deal with on a personal level with their respective spouses and children. It's one thing to cheat on your spouse, but it is certainly taken to a whole new level when those involved are in the public eye and in important positions of power. Shame on them all.

An intelligent female with good looks will always be on the "A" list of every function in Washington. They, along with liberal amounts of alcoholic beverages, are the lubricant to gets the party into high gear. And males, myself included, can't resist a tall, in shape good looking female dressed to exhibit every curve. Good for her. She'll be on the DO NOT CALL LIST for about a year, or less, then the invites will start streaming back in. And if David is divorced, he too will be back on the "A" list. The FBI agent will be unemployed, broke and not on anyone's list.
When the military services do not have enough money to defend the country, the top brass have to do something with their spare time.

Broadwell is still an Army reservist, and subject to the UCMJ. Adultery can be a punishable offense if certain criteria are met, and I could how the threshold has been reached in this case:

If filing jointly, are the fees deductible if paid from Mr. Dr. Broadwell's 2012 taxable income? Under what theory?

Broadwell looks crazy to me. When I see someone with those glazed over eyes I run the other way.
But this does demonstrate even a greater lack of judgement. If you are the director of the CIA and you are going to cheat on your wife and God, at least get some good nookie.

OK, so now we see another person willing to go as far as necessary to secure something for themselves. whatever pretence is used ,it is all the same thing. What i want is all that matters. Be it fame,information,promotion,financial,political, or other, just go for it. No excuses necessary,needed,offered, or requested.
