Subscribe to RSSJill Kelley and her twin sister have lunched at the White House twice, and they toured the White House days before the scandal broke. Records show Paula Broadwell has also visited the White House, attending meetings on Afghanistan. NBC's Andrea Mitchell reports.
Jill Kelley and Paula Broadwell, the two women at the center of the David Petraeus scandal, both visited the White House multiple times during the last four years.
Kelley has visited three times since September of this year, and Broadwell’s two visits were in 2009 and 2011, a White House official told NBC News on Friday, speaking on condition of anonymity.
Kelley’s trips were set up by a White House staffer she met at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla., where she served as an unpaid social coordinator.
The staffer hosted Kelley and her twin sister, Natalie Khawam, for breakfast in the White House cafeteria, known as the mess, on Sept. 28 and again, for lunch, on Oct. 24.
The third visit, on Sunday, Nov. 4, occurred just three days before Gen. Petraeus resigned as CIA director, citing an extramarital affair. Kelley also took a tour of the White House that day with her husband, Scott, and their three children, as well as Khawam and her child.
Broadwell visited the White House twice -- in June 2009, when she met with a National Security Staff member who handled Afghanistan and Pakistan policy, and in June 2011 when she attended a broad briefing on Afghanistan-Pakistan for approximately 20 guests, according to the White House official.
The women have emerged as key figures in the scandal that cost Petraeus his job.
Numerous government and law enforcement officials have told NBC News that Kelley inadvertently triggered the investigation that revealed Petraeus' extramarital affair with Broadwell, his biographer, by complaining to an FBI agent she knew about a series of harassing emails she had received. Agents investigating the cyber-harassment case first determined that Broadwell was the author of the emails, then found evidence of her affair with Petraeus, the officials said.
Jill Kelley, the Tampa woman at the center of the scandal that brought down David Petraeus, reportedly had connections that went beyond the social and military elite of Tampa. NBC's Andrea Mitchell reports.

Why is the media hyping Jill Kelley? She is a social climbing opportunist with delusions of grandeur. Over a million people visit the White House every year. I've been there a time or two myself, in a guided tour just like everyone else. I'm sure the staffer she conned into letting her into the cafeteria had no clue what a wierdo she is. The media hyping all her "connections" just gives her more of what she wants. Put her on the back page where she belongs! She's caused enough embarrassment to people who should know better.

Time, the "ultra-rightwing"(?) magazine reported, "not a single US company secured a deal in the auction of contracts." Russia got the best deals followed by China and France. Anyway Those oil contracts are not working so well for American companies. Maybe the Russians, Chinese or French killed the 4000 thousand? I doubt Petraeus started it. Here is a guy traveling around with a writer. He is doing some work, she unzipps his pants and proceeds to give oral services. He plasters that big forehead with half a Pepsi can of hot jizz. He then deduces that she would probably be willing to drop her panties on command. What's the guy suppossed to do? Watch Netflix in some hotel room on the other side of the world or bust that trim? Not his fault and I still respect him.
What does that make now? Four 4 star Generals and an Admiral who have fallen or come under scrutiny in the last couple of weeks. Wow, big coincidence, you can't make this stuff up. Looks like somebody is cleaning house, replacing officers who may rebel against his agenda.

In 2005, the Kelleys established Doctor Kelley Cancer Foundation Inc., with
themselves and Khawam as its sole directors, according to the Florida Department
of State. Its mission statement says the organization, which was based out of
the Kelley home, was created to "conduct research studies into efforts to
discover ways to improve the quality of life of terminally-ill adult cancer
patients."
In 2007, the last year for which it filed paperwork, the foundation reported
revenues of $157,284 to the Internal Revenue Service, all from direct donations,
according to its tax filing. The document lists expenses totaling precisely the
same amount, including $43,317 for meals and entertainment, $38,610 for travel,
$25,013 in legal fees, $8,067 for supplies and $5,082 in phone bills.
The filing claims $58,417 of its expenses went toward program services, but
it's unclear what those services entailed.
Christopher Pietruszkiewicz, dean of the Stetson University Law School and
expert on nonprofits and taxation, said the foundation's filing "raises a lot
more questions than it does provide answers."

There is absolutely no excuse for the behavior of these two generals. Petraeus, starting up an affair after accepting the directorship of the CIA, should be criminally prosecuted along with his mistress. General Allen is just a nincompoop. Here you have a general in the middle of a war taking time to read and compose thousands of emails with the Kelley woman. It makes me think that Westpoint doesn't do as good a job developing our future Army officers as they would like to think. The behavior of these two men reminds me of some 3rd rate country's military command. Our troops deserve better, much, much better.
